About Open Learning
Open Learning TV is a free-to-air national television station (UHF Channel 17) operating in Belmopan City with the second largest real-time coverage in the country. We provide a mixture of locally produced educational, informational and family programs including a daily news cast and some international family programming along with world news. We have a far reaching audience especially in the rural areas of the Belize District where cable does not exist, like the villages in the entire Belize River Valley (Willow Banks, St. Pauls, Flowers Bank, Rancho Dolores, Biscayne, Burrel Boom, etc) and rural Orange Walk and Southern Corozal Districts respectively. We have even gotten viewer feedback from the island of San Pedro during our premier live show "What's Happening". we also reach out to audiences who do not have cable in Belmopan City and surroundings,Roaring Creek, Camalote,Valley of Peace, Cotton Tree, St. Matthews, Mahogany Heights, San Martin, Las Flores, Ladyville, Sand Hill and Hattieville. Apart from this, we are on the major cable networks throughout Belize, extending our coverage to cable viewers from Benque to Belize City and Dangriga straight down to Placencia.
